Kim Kardashian is making waves in the beauty world once again with the launch of SKKN by Kim Makeup, a collection featuring must-have nude lip liners, lipsticks, and an eyeshadow palette inspired by her iconic style. After closing down KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance in 2021 to revamp and modernize, Kardashian is back, sharing insights about her beauty journey and the philosophy behind SKKN.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kardashian explains her decision to consolidate her brands under SKKN, emphasizing a seamless shopping experience for consumers. Her commitment to delivering better, newer, and more innovative products is evident in the relaunch.
“I’m not scared at all,” she tells PEOPLE. “This is the evolution of who I am and the original brand — and it was important that the quality of the product is better, the packaging is better, and I am listening to what my consumers want.”
The relaunch, named SKKN by Kim, debuts with a focus on high-performance products. The Lip Liner, priced at $22, offers 15 velvety-smooth shades, from light beige nude to deep chocolate nude, fulfilling the fans’ most requested item. Kardashian reveals it’s also her personal favorite, stating, “If I had to choose a product to throw in my bag, it would be a lip liner and I would put it with a little lip balm.”
The SKKN lineup includes the Soft Matte Lip Color at $32, a full-coverage, soft matte lipstick in 10 shades, and the Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette at $50, featuring 12 universally flattering nudes.
Kardashian emphasizes that SKKN by Kim is not just about cosmetics; it’s about skincare. She wants every product to benefit the skin, ensuring they are clean, hydrating, comfortable, and help improve the look and feel of the skin with every wear.
Looking ahead, Kardashian teases more additions to the SKKN brand, including the return of fragrance. “Fragrance is in the works — I want the SKKN BY KIM line to evolve to offer products for anything that benefits the skin, including fragrance.”
