Maesa, the leading mass market brand incubator, has launched an exciting new initiative – the Maesa Magic Incubator. This incubator aims to support and empower beauty and wellness brands founded by entrepreneurs from underserved communities.
The intensive 12-week program will provide three selected founders with a $35,000 grant, mentoring from experts like Mindy McKnight and Jaclyn Johnson, and an action-packed curriculum covering key business areas.
With this completely new incubator program, Maesa seeks to give back by helping founders overcome obstacles faced due to gender, race, or other factors. Research shows huge funding disparities, with women and minority founders receiving only 3% of VC money.
The application is open to beauty and wellness brands that:
– Are founded by underrepresented entrepreneurs (women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ etc)
– Have been in business for at least 12 months
– Have lifetime sales under $100k
By removing barriers to success through funding and education, the Maesa Magic Incubator aims to empower a new generation of inclusive beauty innovators.
Founders will participate in lectures, office hours, and curricula led by Maesa executives and industry leaders. Topics covered include financials, supply chain, media, and preparing an investor pitch.
At the end of the intensive 12 weeks, graduates will be set up for potential partnerships, investors and retail opportunities.
Apply to the Maesa Magic Incubator by September 1st for this incredible opportunity to receive funding and expert support. Let’s make beauty and wellness more diverse, inclusive and accessible.
