Sara Ali Khan, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has become synonymous with elegance in traditional Indian attire. In a recent interview, the actress reiterated her fondness for Indian fashion, underscoring the importance of promoting it.
During a conversation with IANS at a fashion event, Sara expressed her admiration for Indian clothing and stressed the responsibility of public figures in promoting it. She highlighted the comfort and versatility of Indian attire, noting its increasing global appeal.
“As public figures, it is our duty to promote our culture at a fashion and clothing level as well, so that everyone else can get inspired and influenced,” Sara remarked.
Comfort ranks high on Sara’s list of fashion priorities. She advocates for wearing what makes one feel good, often opting for simplicity. “I like to keep things simple and that’s why I love wearing simple kurtas,” she shared.
On the professional front, Sara Ali Khan’s latest film “Murder Mubarak” premiered on Netflix on March 15. Directed by Homi Adajania, the mystery thriller features an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia.
Her upcoming project “Ae Watan Mere Watan” delves into the pre-Independence era, with Sara portraying the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film co-stars Emraan Hashmi and Anand Tiwari, and is set to release on Prime Video on March 21.
Following this, Sara will grace the screen in Anurag Basu’s highly anticipated theatrical release “Metro: In Dino.” Scheduled for September 13, 2024, the film features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Neena Gupta.
