Earlier this month, the 9th edition of the Stockholm International Fashion Fair (STOIFF) mesmerized attendees at the prestigious Royal Armoury Museum, situated within Stockholm’s Royal Palace.
The event placed a strong emphasis on inclusion and sustainable fashion practices, captivating guests with a captivating fusion of global styles and cultural reverence.
According to the event’s official press release, the runway showcased a diverse array of esteemed designers and brands, including Thalia by Göran Alfredsson, Camilla with Love, and the dynamic Parisian-African fusion of Moon Fashion.
Additionally, the runway featured iconic styles from Roberto Cavalli, Philosophi di Lorenzo, and the remarkable collection of Moroccan-Swedish brand Taragalte Stockholm.
Taragalte Stockholm, led by Imane Belmkaddem, organizer of STOIFF and artistic director of the brand, took center stage at the event. Collaborating with Moroccan artist Fatima El Hajjaji, Taragalte Stockholm unveiled two breathtaking collections paying tribute to the rich culture of Morocco.
The inaugural collection, “Ode aux Oudayas,” honored the mythical cultural legacy of Rabat, a UNESCO-recognized treasure. The second collection celebrated Moroccan and African women worldwide with Arabic calligraphy, zellige patterns, and exquisite flower crowns symbolizing femininity and elegance.
This heartfelt tribute carried extra significance as it coincided with International Women’s Day, adding emotional depth to the event.
Distinguished guests, including Margareta van den Bosch, Chief Designer of H&M, and ambassadors from various countries, graced the occasion.
As the 9th Stockholm International Fashion Fair concluded, anticipation mounted for the upcoming 10th Edition scheduled for September, promising another milestone in the evolution of global fashion and cultural celebration.
