Springtime splendor descended upon Houston as the 40th annual Tootsies Fashion Show and Luncheon graced the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship Tournament at River Oaks Country Club. Amidst the backdrop of perfect weather, guests adorned in chic ensembles, oversized sunglasses, and floral accents reveled in two days of haute couture and tennis.
Helmed by tournament director Bronwyn Greer and chair Shelli Lindley, the event was a testament to style and sophistication, spearheaded by Tootsies owners Norman and Donna Lewis, alongside creative director Fady Armanious, who dazzled in a bespoke suit by Houston designer Bach Mai.
The theme of the affair, Rococo, infused every facet with opulence and flair, reminiscent of the ornate and dramatic style of the 18th century. From the lavish linens to the live music and extravagant decor, the ambiance was a fitting tribute to the event’s luxurious setting and designer showcases.
The highlight of the show was a mesmerizing runway presentation orchestrated by fashion show producer Lenny Matuszewski, senior stylist Tamara Bonas, and Fady Armanious. A stunning array of 81 looks from renowned designers like Oscar de la Renta, Elie Saab, and Valentino graced the catwalk, accompanied by live music, offering guests an immersive experience into the world of high fashion.
Post-show, attendees indulged in the opportunity to acquire coveted styles from the runway at the Tootsies Shop the Runway Boutique. Meanwhile, on the courts, spectators were treated to displays of athletic prowess by tennis luminaries including Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe, and Max Purcell.
Among the notable guests were luminaries such as Jenna Lindley, Brooke Lee, and Hillary Holmes Archer, adding to the allure and prestige of the occasion.
