Luxury fashion brand BAV Tailor collaborated with Italian textile company Botto Giuseppe to debut a conscious capsule collection at the MilanoUnica FW24/25 international trade fair held July 11-13, 2023.
The sustainable Pravara line consists of six slow fashion outfits created using Botto Giuseppe’s eco-friendly Naturalis Fibra fabrics, including cashmere, silk, and wool. One standout sustainable fabric, exclusive SLOWOOLEARTH, is Cradle to Cradle certified and comprises a two-piece Lokya Lotus jacket and pants set in Botto Giuseppe’s Grey Ash shade.
Additional sustainable materials from Botto Giuseppe selected by BAV Tailor include sumptuous Sand Jasper cashmere and Rose Quartz slow silk, used in the Lokya Spirit coat and Shakti Pravara jumpsuit respectively. The nature-inspired Pravara collection aligns with both brands’ focus on ethical production and animal welfare.
Botto Giuseppe CEO Silvio Botto Poala says the company supports BAV Tailor’s sustainable philosophy that mirrors their own commitment to luxury textiles produced through conscious practices. For example, Botto Giuseppe’s transparent Impact Report profiles its sustainable certifications like Cradle to Cradle.
The collaboration at MilanoUnica signals the fashion industry’s shift towards circular production methods to reduce environmental impacts. By partnering, BAV Tailor and Botto Giuseppe aim to drive innovation in luxury fashion using renewable, biodegradable materials and ethical manufacturing.
