Grammy winner Pharrell Williams recently unveiled his first collection as Louis Vuitton’s new men’s creative director in Paris. For the highly anticipated debut, Williams focused on bringing back cool through stylish details and remixing LV signatures like the iconic Damier pattern.
Dubbed “Damoflage,” Williams’ pixelated take on Damier comes in three colors across bags, accessories, workwear, denim, pajamas, knits, and fur. He also collaborated with artist Henry Taylor for embroidered art on LV’s classic Alma bags.
Other standouts include pearl sunglasses, band collars, flower pendants, magnified shearling slippers with monogram intarsia, and more. The runway show across Pont Neuf featured live music and a front row packed with Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, and other stars.
“I wanted to make indelible marks,” Williams said of his groundbreaking role as LV’s first Black men’s creative director. His debut collection certainly made a statement and has the fashion world eagerly awaiting what’s next.
