With over 370 exhibitors predominantly from Korea, this year’s event marked a vibrant return of major brands and a bustling atmosphere compared to previous years.
At the forefront of Cosmobeauty Seoul 2024 were significant trends in functional beauty products such as serums, ampoules, masks, and innovative face cleansing solutions, particularly oils and balms. Another highlight was the rise of indie perfume brands offering unique home fragrance products and beauty tech innovations focused on skincare and wellness.
Functional and Cleansing Innovations
Korean beauty continues to excel in face care with a strong emphasis on cleansing products. New launches featured prominently at the show included balm and oil cleansers, known for their effectiveness in removing impurities and maintaining skin hydration.
Noteworthy launches included Frankly’s Deep Cleansing Oil enriched with exfoliating BHA and LHA, Jumiso’s Anti-Oxidant Glow Cleansing Oil with vitamin E and niacinamide, and Bohicare’s Clear & Glow Cleansing Balm tailored for combination and oily skin.
In the serum and ampoule category, Eleven Huesday introduced the Deeply Control Balancing Emulsion, while Rootree showcased the Liquorice Blemish Calming Serum. Orjena’s Refine Synergy line also stood out with its high-performance serums formulated with active ingredients.
Indie Fragrances
The Korean fragrance market saw a surge in indie labels catering to Millennials and GenZers. Cosmobeauty Seoul 2024 featured several domestic brands specializing in personal and home fragrances, including fabric sprays and scented hair and body care products.
Notable brands like Lime You, Monthly 121, Arraune, and Login Forest presented their latest offerings, highlighting unique blends and wellness-oriented scents that resonate with modern consumers.
Beauty Tech Advancements
Korea’s leadership in beauty technology was evident at the trade show, with a diverse array of electronic devices for hair removal, body shaping, and skincare. LED products were particularly prominent, addressing various wellness and beauty needs.
Highlights included CGBIO’s Easy L Hair LED scalp care device, designed to stimulate hair growth, and Snow2+’s LED pimple patch kit, enhancing the effectiveness of skincare treatments.
