Experience a journey through time with the return of historic fashion at the Fannie E. Bartlett House in Olean. Join us for the second annual Vintage Fashion Show on July 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Victorian home located at 302 Laurens St.
This year’s event will showcase dresses spanning from the 1800s to the late 1900s, including formalwear, bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and early undergarments, all set to period-appropriate music.
Highlighting the occasion, you can view the wedding gown worn by former Fannie Bartlett Center director Cathy Fraser and the wedding dress of Mary Kainurgiu Pappas, mother of the late Betty Pappas. Andrew Sherburne, a fashion design student recently returned from Europe, will host the event once again.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in vintage attire for a chance to win prizes, including a special award for the “Best Dressed Guest.” Door prizes and raffle baskets will also be available throughout the event.
Refreshments, including a wedding cake, will be served, and proceeds will support the restoration of the house’s stone terrace wall.
