MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon Launch New Sneakers and First Collaborative Apparel Collection
The highly anticipated partnership between Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela continues to evolve, marking a significant expansion with the introduction of two innovative footwear designs and their inaugural ready-to-wear collection.
Revolutionary Sneaker Designs
The collaboration showcases a reimagined version of the iconic Salomon ACS Pro 2 running sneaker, presenting it in two distinctive variations. The urban-inspired design features a sophisticated concrete gray colorway with subtle silver accents, alongside a striking matte black version enhanced with a glossy tar-black exoskeleton-like structure.
In an exciting development, the partnership introduces the Salomon Cross Low MM6 Maison Margiela, a fresh interpretation of Salomon’s celebrated Speedcross trail-running shoe. This innovative design boasts new proportions and a custom-designed lug sole. The sneaker comes in two bold colorways: a vibrant combination of bubblegum pink and bright red, and an elegant almond and army green version featuring an eye-catching acid yellow heel detail encased in dark forest green.
Technical Innovation Meets Fashion
A standout feature is the sneaker’s distinctive drawstring gaiter-style nylon closure, which connects to its high-tech molded composite sole through taped waterproof seams. The green colorway includes a reflective strip, cleverly combining elements from extreme sports gear and traditional waterproof footwear.
Expanding into Apparel
Breaking new ground, the collaboration introduces a minimalist all-gender apparel collection. The comprehensive range includes expertly crafted oversized formal pants, stretch leggings, long-sleeved crew-neck tops, a sophisticated trench coat, straight-leg five-pocket pants, and a technical windbreaker. The collection also features oversized button-down shirts and the versatile Trailblazer Daypack 20.
Building on Past Success
This release follows their successful launch of the MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-Mary J hybrid shoe, which brilliantly combines Salomon’s XT-4 trail running foundation with refined upper construction. The partnership, which began in 2023, has already produced notable releases including the XT-4 Mule in three colorways and the X-Alp in classic black and white-and-black variations.
Retail Expansion
The launch coincides with Salomon’s retail growth, marked by their first U.S. pop-up store opening in NYC. This new location joins their global retail network, including prestigious stores in London, Barcelona, Seoul, Tokyo, and their flagship on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
Fashion enthusiasts can access the latest MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon capsule starting November 7 through both brands’ e-commerce platforms, boutiques, and selected multi-brand retailers.
