Gap Collaborates with Zac Posen: GapStudio Collection Launch and Fashion Industry Updates
Zac Posen’s Highly Anticipated GapStudio Collection Debuts This Week
Fashion enthusiasts, mark your calendars! Gap is expanding its fashion horizons with the help of renowned designer Zac Posen. The much-anticipated GapStudio collection is finally launching this week, promising to deliver an elevated take on Gap’s signature staples through sharp tailoring and modern silhouettes.
GapStudio Collection 01 will feature several standout pieces including a denim trench coat, double-breasted blazer, high-rise sailor pant, sailor skort, and new colorways of the line’s previously sold-out Poplin Maxi shirtdress—which gained instant popularity after being spotted on Anne Hathaway last year.
To commemorate this significant fashion moment, Posen has enlisted models Alex Consani, Imaan Hammam, and Anok Yai for the collection’s debut campaign, beautifully captured by acclaimed photographer Mario Sorrenti. Fashion enthusiasts can purchase GapStudio pieces when the collection—priced between $78 and $248—launches on Gap.com and at ten select Gap stores across the United States on April 3.
“GapStudio is where craftsmanship, creativity and culture come together. Inside Gap’s New York HQ, we’ve built a creative studio where I’ve designed looks for the red carpet, and where we’ll continue to collaborate with visionary talent in the future,” Posen shared in an official statement. “GapStudio Collection 01 reflects that vision—blending tailoring with innovative denim treatments that sculpt and refine the fabric in new ways. This is just the beginning.”
Star-Studded Cast Announced for The Beatles’ Upcoming Biopics
Cinema and music fans have something extraordinary to look forward to in 2028. The Beatles’ upcoming biographical films are creating buzz in the entertainment world, with a lineup of Hollywood’s most beloved heartthrobs taking center stage.
Internet favorites Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn have been officially cast as the legendary Fab Four in what’s being titled “The Beatles—A Four-Film Cinematic Event.” This ambitious project will feature four individual films showcasing the perspectives of John Lennon (portrayed by Dickinson), Paul McCartney (Mescal), George Harrison (Quinn), and Ringo Starr (Keoghan) during their meteoric rise to fame in the vibrant rock n’ roll scene of the 1960s. The entire project will be helmed by acclaimed director Sam Mendes.
Fashion Industry’s Playful Side: April Fools’ Day Highlights
The fashion and beauty industries demonstrated their humorous side this April Fools’ Day with a variety of creative pranks across social media platforms. The witty Malcolm Carfrae entertained followers with a post about his fictional “Netflix biopic” aptly named “Standing Room Only”—a concept many followers admitted they’d actually love to see produced!
Meanwhile, Dazed playfully announced pop star Charli XCX as Balenciaga’s new creative director, while Up Next Designer gave the same fictional honor to Kim Kardashian. Social media personality Harry Hill jokingly shared news about making his Broadway debut alongside Zac Efron in a “Call Me By Your Name” production, and Colourpop Cosmetics “unveiled” a rather unusual Dill Pickle flavor for their Fresh Kiss lip balm line.
Not all pranks landed well with audiences, however. L’Officiel Italia created controversy with a seemingly authentic announcement claiming John Galliano had been appointed as Dior’s new creative director. The publication later explained the post was intended to remind readers to engage with full articles rather than just scanning headlines on Instagram. Despite the clarification, the post garnered over 10,000 likes and a mixed bag of reactions ranging from disappointment to hopeful wishes for Galliano’s potential return to the prestigious French fashion house.
“I was just about to lose it BUT then I read the whole thing…,” shared Jasmina TV on Instagram Stories. “They’re playing April Fool’s jokes already this is not cute I’m going to bed.”
