New York Fashion Week has officially commenced, ushering in the Spring/Summer 2024 season. Before the fashion caravan moves on to Paris, London and Milan, NYFW will feature major debuts, returns and new faces.
Ralph Lauren comes back to NYFW after recent shows in California. Meanwhile, Peter Do takes the helm as Creative Director at Helmut Lang and Phillip Lim returns following a 3-year break.
In other headlines, Heron Preston was named Creative Menswear Advisor for H&M. He will oversee creative direction and produce seasonal capsule collections starting next year.
Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory also announced plans for the brand’s first flagship store in NYC. A preview pop-up shop opens this Saturday ahead of the main Levi’s collaboration launch on September 12.
The British Fashion Council unveiled its 2023 Fashion Awards nominees including Kim Jones, Grace Wales Bonner and Simone Rocha. Winners will be revealed at the December 4 ceremony.
Additionally, Stone Island opened its largest Asian installation to date at Frieze Seoul. The exhibit showcases 70+ iconic pieces spanning four decades.
