As we age, skin can start to sag and lose elasticity. To combat sagging skin, Seppic drew inspiration from space and developed SAGACIOUSTM, a new eco-friendly active ingredient.
Research on the International Space Station revealed that in zero gravity, plants produce special lipids called SQDGs to maintain structure. Seppic hypothesized these lipids could also reinforce skin structure and firmness.
They found seaweed Himanthalia elongata to be a rich natural source of SQDGs. Through their patented, eco-designed “Coeur d’algue” process, Seppic extracted SQDGs without chlorophyll in just 2 steps.
This allowed them to launch SAGACIOUSTM, which targets sagging on multiple levels:
– Strengthens the dermo-epidermal junction for better structural integrity
– Reinforces the dermis to improve elasticity and firmness
– Firms the dermo-hypodermal junction for better deep cohesion
In clinical tests, SAGACIOUSTM increased skin firmness by 8x versus placebo. It also reduced the appearance of nasolabial folds by 7.1%.
SAGACIOUSTM fights sagging with a tri-level approach inspired by space research. This innovative ingredient from Seppic helps aging skin appear firmer and more youthful.
